Animating FLO-2D results using GDSRUN.### files

Hi, is there a way I can animate FLO-2D run results using GDSRUN.### files (previously genetated by FLO-2D during a run with "Animate within GDS" option was chosen)?. Can this be readily done by Mapper or other executables? This would really help in presenting the results.

You can animate the simulation within the GDS but it isn't saved as a result. If you want to make the animation files please read the Mapper Tutorial in the Workshop Lessons book. It gives detailed instructions on how to make time lapse output data files. Then you can use Mapper and a screen capture program to create a movie or you can create a shapefile of each animated interval and make the movie in ArcGIS.

Your suggestion worked great, Karen. I was able to use the time lapse output data file to create animations within ArcGIS.
