Batch Mode

I need to run Flo-2D over 20 times and would like to do this over night. The problem is that when the model is done running a window pops up asking if I want to save the data for future runs. I am not sure how to bypass this window so once one run is done the next one starts. Anyone have any ideas? I need to be able to do this with both the 2006 and 2009 versions.

We have developed a new batch mode program and we are testing it. With the current model there is no work around for the simulation summary pop up window. The new batch file program will allow the user to run the models consecutively or concurrently if you have more than one processor. This batch file program should be available within a week or so. It will require you to download a new model executable in which the LGPLOT variable will be set to 1 in CONT.DAT and will turn off all graphics. The model will only run in the background.

If you can't wait a week, you might be able to access the computer remotely and perform the runs manually. You might also try installing on several computers and running several models at the same time one on each computer.

Will this work with both the 2006 and 2009 version?

It will only work for v2009. Did you consider the remote computer option?

My office does not have the remote desktop option at the moment. For the 2006 models I will just run them on multiple machines and take home a laptop.

If you have a Blackberry or an Iphone you can download a free app that will allow you to access your computer remotely from your phone. You can even power your computer up if needed.

I have a Android phone, what is the name of the app? This would be very helpful.

That patch won't come out until the next update release. That's sometime within the next 4 to 6 months.

Hello, I use teamviewer (www.teamviewer.com) to access to my computer when runs Flo2D. It's very easy to install and configure, you have a free version, and Android and Iphone apps too.

Teamviewer also works with RiverFLO-2D. RiverFLO-2D doesn't work with all remote software but it does work well with teamviewer.
